EventOn supports operational teams managing UK and EU events. The service description, contractual scope, and defined user roles should be confirmed by legal counsel to align with national consumer protection requirements.
2. Eligibility and access
Outline who may access the platform, how invitations are issued, and any minimum organisational safeguards required. Confirm alignment with applicable UK and EU access regulations before launch.
3. Fees and payment terms
Specify fee structures, invoicing processes, and applicable taxes. Ensure language addresses consumer rights directives and local VAT treatment where relevant.
4. Responsibilities and acceptable use
Provide a clear code of conduct, including cybersecurity expectations, incident reporting pathways, and restrictions on unlawful or discriminatory activity. Verify compatibility with UK Equality Act and EU Digital Services Act obligations.
5. Data protection
Reference the companion Privacy Notice and Data Processing Addendum. Insert finalised commitments on lawful bases, retention, data subject rights, and cross-border transfers to reflect UK GDPR and EU GDPR standards.
6. Liability and dispute resolution
Summarise liability limits, indemnities, and governing law preferences. Confirm selections with legal advisers to ensure enforceability in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and relevant EU jurisdictions.
